ABBA is an old pop group from Sweden. They were famous all over the world and they have big hits like "Waterloo", "Dancing Queen", "Mama Mia" and "Money Money Money". If you ask your parents they will sure know who they are! The members in ABBA are: Björn Ullvaeus, Agnehta Fältskog, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad.
 ABBA got together in 1972 and they broke up in 1983. They have sold 400 milion CDs and people are still buying their records!

Swedish House Mafia 
2005-2013
Swedish House Mafia , SHM was a Swedish houseproducer- and DJ group consisting of Axwell , Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello . Eric Prydz and Henrik B was originally part of the group , but they dropped out. The members of the Swedish House Mafia has achieved success both in and outside Sweden with the music they have produced .
2013 was their last years together , after eight years as a group . On March 24, 2013 completed the trio 's last show in front of 55,000 euphoric fans at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the same place that one three years earlier conducted its first gig ever in North America.
the documentary Leave the World Behind why the group disbanded. Axwell and Ingrosso continued to work under the name " Axwell Ingrosso Λ " , and has since released two singles.

A wooden horse from Dalarna
A Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse (Swedish: Dalahäst) is a traditional carved, painted wooden horse statuette originating in Swedish province Dalarna.
It is stoutly carved and painted bright red with details and a harness in white, green, yellow and blue.
Besides the color red they also can be in the other ground colors but also in green, black, white and pink. Dala horses have been produced since the 1600s and they were produced to be toys for babies back then but now it is more like a symbol.

Astrid Lindgren 
Astrid was born in Vimmerby, Småland, in 1907 14th of November.
She is a very famous author. She wrote children's books. Her most famous books are Pippi Långstrump, Emil i Lönneberga and Karlsson på taket. Astrids picture is on the Swedish 20 crown bill. She died 2002 in Stockholm, 28th of January. She became 94 years old.

Henric Ludqvist

After the season in 2004/05 Lundqvist choosed to leave the The Swedish Premier Division to play in NHL New York Rangers.
On 13 February 2008 Lundqvist wrote on a six-year contract with the New York Rangers , worth $ 41.25 million , which with 6.875000000 per season this time made him the NHL's highest paid goalie.
Lundqvist was the first Rangers goalie since 1928/29 to keep the zero ten times in a single season. They called him "King Henrik". Click here

Schelin grew up in Kållered outside Gothenburg and started playing football at age six in KÅLLERED SK along with her older sister Camilla.
In July 2008, Lyon in the French league a solicitation offer to Schelin.
On August 21, 2008, a few days after Sweden became the ruling of the Olympic tournament - approved Gothenburg transition. The contract ran from September 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010. Semla
A typical swedish bun in February is called "semla". Inside it's whippted cream with marzipan and it's really nice.  On Febuary 17 it´s the "semla" day.








Kalles kaviar
Kalles kaviar is a sandwich spread that you have on your breakfast sandwich. You usually have caviar with eggs. It's not so popular in other countries. In their advertising they usually say that Kalles kaviar is a very Swedish taste. When they were in the USA they offered Kalles kaviar to the American people, they didn't like it. It tastes salty and has got a fish taste. It's made of spawns of the fish, salt, sugar, potato flakes and tomato paste.
